La Ballerina Italian Restaurant is nestled in the heart of the iconic Covent Garden, right next to the renowned Royal Opera House. Me and my friend didn’t realise the restaurant has just closed and the staff didn’t rush us to leave - instead they offered us complementary limoncello. The service was good but unfortunately the food wasn’t. Pasta was quite bland and tasteless, garlic bread was tiny and the ingredients didn’t seem well cooked, which was disappointing.

The two waiters Doruk and his companion were not only stunningly handsome and gifted academics but great hosts; friendly, polite, attentive, efficient. I had the special today and it was very tasty indeed and given the location at a reasonable price.  The food on other tables looked delicious and guests seemed to enjoy it. The decor is  very dated a bit like a 1980's grandma's front room and would benefit from a refit in the winter months.    But none-the-less clean and pleasant.  Proper white table cloths, but sadly paper napkins. I imagine I will return here, mainly I think, because the customer service was good.
