Our Delicious Story

La Ballerina lies in the iconic Covent Garden, conveniently located next door to the Royal Opera House. The Royal Opera House holds acclaim both for its outstanding traditional opera performances and for commissioning new works by today’s leading opera composers, including Harrison Birtwistle, Mark-Anthony Turnage and Thomas Adès.

The Royal Opera House forms a cornerstone of Covent Garden sitting next to the world-famous piazza. The Grade 1 listed building has an impressive frontage on Bow Street. It is actually the third theatre built on the site after the first two were destroyed by fires. This was a serious hazard in the days before electricity!

  We stumbled across this restaurant after a long, long walk in town, and we were very happy that we stopped for lunch here! Firstly, the lady who greeted us was charming and thoughtful. We were very kindly allowed to sit outside with our pooch, and without prompting, the lady brought some water out for him. She continued to be very attentive throughout the meal with a really genuine smile. In fact, all the staff we interacted with were great! But I should also mention the food! The risotto and lasagne were delicious, and we thought very well priced. I really couldn't fault this restaurant, especially considering it's in a really touristy area. Would come again.

  I really love the service over here. The staff made us feel really welcome sharing personal experiences. Also the food is amazing. I personally like mussels and my husband he liked  the pepperoni pizza. Loved the outdoor seating in this beautiful weather. Thank you and will definitely recommend this place to everyone. Very lovely restaurant, lovely welcoming staff and waiters were so helpful in suggesting what should I try to order as a meal, I have asked their len opinion and meal was lovely. Nice cozy atmosphere, romenctic for couples or few friends.

Fantastic restaurant. They managed to fit our group of 6 in with no booking and cater for Gluten free dietary needs even though it wasn't stated on the menu. Food and service were both fantastic. The best little find in Covent Garden for food. We will most definitely return.
